Sleep
Gavin has been sleeping for longer stretches more consistently. He slept "through the night" one night last week (9pm-6:30am)!! But, ahhh--the 3 month growth spurt and the 4 month wakeful/sleep regression periods are still to come! Fingers crossed and prayers said- we'll hope to sail right through those without TOO MUCH sleep deprivation! :)

Hello! My first blog post...
I am inspired to start blogging because God has blessed John and I with an adorable baby boy- Gavin. Gavin was born on 2/5/10 by an unplanned c-section; he decided at some point late in pregnancy that he was tired of being upside down, he was breech! :)
Gavin is now 2 months and 6 days old and is such a beautiful gift. I can say that with ease now because the initial days of feeling like we have NO idea what we were doing (breastfeeding, diaper changing, getting him to sleep, etc.) have subsided (for now, right?!).
I am even more inspired to write about our little guy today because of the following:
1. He slept WONDERFULLY last night: went to bed by about 8:45; woke at about 2:30am to eat and back to sleep until almost 7am---WHOOHOOO; HOOOORAY!! :) Never before I began raising a child did I know that sleep is a learned behavior. Ask me about infant sleep cycles and I can tell you all about it- I've read probably WAY too much; trying to WILL it to happen! :)
2. He has taken TWO naps in his crib today. We are trying to get away from taking naps in the swing, etc.
Ok, so now I need to go eat before he wakes up. First blog- FINISHED. :)
